ANC Contributor Registration

People wishing to contribute documents to the ANC Consortium must first email a copy of the Grant of license to the ANC. Once we have received your grant of license, a username and password will be emailed to you that can be used to log in to the ANC upload page.

Grant of license

By submitting the license below, you grant the ANC full rights to reproduce and distribute the submitted materials for use in research, education, and development, including development of commercial products. Note that this license does not assign copyright to the ANC, nor does it override any other licenses already in place such as the Creative Commons "sharealike", "non-commercial", and "no derivative works" restrictions. This license simply specifies what the ANC may do with your contribution (i.e. distribute it). Users of the ANC remain bound by the original licensing terms of the documents submitted. However, "attribution" (if desired) is assured if the author's/producer's name is provided when contributing documents.

Paste the text below into an email message and send it to anc@cs.vassar.edu.

By submitting this e-mail, I, _______________ (contributor's name), hereby grant to the American National Corpus Consortium (ANCC), a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to use, reformat, reproduce, and distribute through the Linguistic Data Consortium of the University of Pennsylvania, in electronic form or any and all media hereinafter developed, my submission as part of a collection of American English-language material. I agree to the terms of use and understand that the collection will be made available to others for the purposes of linguistic education, research, and development.|
